Machine Shop BrochureDynamic Machine Corporation operates the largest commercial and custom machine shop in Manitoba. Our shop is fully equipped and capable of handling almost any industrial need or purpose, all backed by a dedication to high quality workmanship and pride.
The shop features large overhead cranes capable of handling 30 ton weights with a drive in bay to simplify the delivery of machinery. Dynamic can identify and fix any problem, frequently before they occur. Since its creation the Machine Shop has dealt with general contracting companies, steel mills, hydro companies, mines of all types and more. The on-floor staff of 30-40 trained individuals is backed with great support staff to ensure quick and accurate service for our clients. We provide precise knowledge and expertise and that allows us to fix what needs to get fixed quickly and properly.

Align Boring
When the alignment of two or more drilled holes is critical to the operation of your equipment then Dynamic Machine Shop can help. Dynamic provides precision boring services involving a wide variety of industrial components. That means Dynamic can engineer exactly what their clients need.

Babbitt Bearings
Dynamic Machine Shop can rework and reapply new babbitt to your bearings as they wear out. Babbitt bearings are rotary bearings made from special alloys (for example tin, copper and lead in different percentages) poured directly into the bearing housing. Many industrial units use babbitt bearings in “boundary lubrication” applications where they are indispensable. In cases when bearings are required for smaller engines or electric motors or heavy duty equipment then Dynamic can machine the babbitt bearings to your exact specifications.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathes and Milling Equipment
Dynamic has several CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes and mills, a technology that has fundamentally changed the manufacturing industry. The computerized control allows high production rates with fast turn-around times and a low incidence of error. The latest addition to our CNC department is our new Modern Tool Challenger. A 22” swing, 80” between center CNC Teach Lathe to add size to our CNC department. This will increase our ability to produce larger sized production runs with the Teach Lathe being able to shorten set ups and increase productivity on low quantity runs.

Custom Gear Cutting and Rebuilding
Dynamic Machine Shop employs a large number of fully-trained Journeymen and Apprentice Machinists who can produce detailed work at speed. Whether it is necessary to repair a broken tooth on a gear or cut a whole new unit Dynamic can deliver!

Custom, General and Heavy Industrial Machining
Dynamic Machine Shop uses industrial-sized lathe equipment capable of moving 92 inch diameter materials with up to 26 feet between centers.

Dynamic Machine Shop is capable of reaching production volume manufacturing shafts and splines along with performing precision milling.

Cylindrical and Surface Grinding
Dynamic Machine Shop is equipped with three sizes of cylindrical grinding machines to grind large, medium or small sized pieces to exacting tolerances. Several surface grinders are also on-site to meet a wide variety of requirements.

Dynamic Balancing
Dynamic Balancing can be performed on small, medium or large rotor units. The issue of balancing a rotor is a delicate one that has been an engineering problem since the invention of the wheel itself. Dynamic Machine has years of vibration analysis experience in making sure that the rotors work at peak efficiency all the time.

MIG/TIG/Spray Welding
The Dynamic Machine Shop can perform any variety of specialized or general welding that is needed. Whether your job requires a minor tack weld or the fabrication of a complex unit Dynamic can help you design and build to the most exacting specifications needed.

Millwright Services
The Dynamic Machine Shop can perform Complete Millwright services if our clients need to perform machining, electrical or mechanical work on- site. If a project has a deadline our trained Millwrights are able to assist existing crews, or work independently, as required.

Portable Milling and Resurfacing
Dynamic Machine Shop has the capabilities to go to our customers to get the milling and re-surfacing jobs done with a minimum of time lost. With mobile equipment combined with skilled operators Dynamic can bring our shop to you!

Straightening
Dynamic Machine Shop knows that any equipment can be stressed in normal use to the breaking point, and sometimes just to the bending point. When shaft materials get bent Dynamic has a variety of presses (up to 100 ton capacity) combined with the precision measuring equipment and the skilled hands to straighten things out and get our customers back to work.

Vibration Analysis
Dynamic Machine Shop has staff that are trained and certified to provide on-site vibration analysis with a portable Rockwell Automation Entek IRD dataPAC 1500 unit. Once the information is compiled the data is printed out to provide a proper report. Over the long run several reports can be evaluated to predict a failure point which will allow preventative action to be taken.
